Do you guys think getting a top contributer badge is good?
Before you call me crazy and stupid, let me explain. Do you think it is good to have a top contributor badge? You get targeted by trolls a lot more often, right? So do you think it is worth being targeted by trolls in exchange for a badge of a top contributor? Thanks in advance!
Meh. Best Answer percentage matters more to me, because it's a more accurate representation of the answerer's reputation and quality of answers. Now if only more people chose their Best Answers when they ask a question...
It would matter to me more if I knew that only REAL Top Contributors got that badge. It would make it seem like more of an accomplishment that way. Right now, though, pretty much anyone with enough time on their hands can get a TC badge.
But for now it's nothing more than a pretty decoration under my picture to make it look more impressive.
And it's kind of hard not to be a Top Contributor. To lose my badge, I'd have to start answering badly, which kind of defeats the purpose. It's worth the few trolls you get. I've only had one in pretty much my whole span of being TC. I didn't know what a troll was till I looked it up...
