How Far Can Our Imagination Go

Imagination, in my own words, is going beyond the touchable. It is having a drive through the unseen. It is a temporary escape from the reality. Imagination has forms and it has its grade. It depends on the person doing the imagination on how far he/she will go. It makes possible for one to experience everything the world is and everything the world isn’t.

Through imagination, you can experience the world and all its complexities and everything that doesn’t belong to the world all in one place – the mind. It’s the cheapest way to have some thrill. All you need is a relaxing place - A place where you can unload all your unconscious thoughts and utilize it for imagining things.

In your imagination you can travel anywhere in the speed of light without any obstacles. It can make you feel free, though temporarily, and only in the mind, from tasks, difficulties and unpleasant circumstances. Daydreaming is a form of self-defense. Fantasy is protecting yourself for the meantime of unwanted thoughts but always put in mind that prolonged use of any defense mechanism leads to neurosis and later on progresses to psychosis. Keep imagination a limit but allow it to make you grow in the best way it can.

Imagination is not restricted only to seeing pictures in the intellect. It includes all the five senses and the. One can imagine a sound, taste, smell, a physical sensation or a feeling or emotion. For some people it is easier to see mental pictures, others find it easier to imagine a feeling, and some are more comfortable imagining the sensation of one of the five senses.

One great example of how far human imagination has gone is the birth and rebirth of many fantasy fiction books. Can you ever imagine that people can tell stories that they have not actually seen? Stories about fairy tales, dungeons, demons, dragons, ogre, phenomenon that don’t really exist, events that have not really happen, inventions that will be or cannot be made are only some of the products of one imagination.

They say that people can’t turn the invisible into something tangible without first imagining it. This is really and very true to me. You can’t have something nor be someone without first imagining yourself having it or being one.

The power of imagination takes your passion to another level that you won’t stop ‘til you get there. Until you achieve your dream. The wife of Walt Disney said in an inauguration of one of Disney’s structures that before anyone have ever seen Disneyland, Walt Disney has already seen it in his mind.

Now you can see that imagination can become real if you will fuel it up with your passion in determination. The amount or percentage of imagination becoming real, all depends on your perseverance to transform it from the mind into your eyes – into your hands.
